The minimum amount you can use to create a wager in your naira wallet is ₦1,000 while on your dollar wallet, the minimum is $1.
Once your wager has been created, you can send an invite to specific individuals by entering their unique WagrTag, or you can copy and share the invite link with the person or anyone interested in your wager.
It is important to note that gaming challenges are not played on the Gowagr app; Gowagr only serves as a third party that simplifies and secures the transactions between players. Wagers can be placed on all kinds of games—there are no limits to the kind of gaming challenges you can use the Gowagr app for. However, ensure you play games that allow you to provide substantial evidence.
A wager cannot be canceled once it is active (i.e., once the other party has accepted the wager challenge). If both parties are no longer interested in playing, they can mutually agree and settle the wager as a tie. Wagers can be canceled only before the game starts. During dispute resolution, both parties must consent to a tie.
The app requires you or your opponent to choose the wager outcome (win or tie). The selected outcome you have chosen (win or tie) must be acknowledged or disputed by the other party. Wager stake is released upon acceptance, while contested wagers go through a dispute resolution process.
They have a 24-hour window to accept the wager win or tie claim. Reminder emails and notifications are sent to remind them of the pending action. If after 24 hours, they fail to accept your win or tie claim, or take the wager to dispute, they automatically lose and you are credited.
If you feel your opponent is not being fair about the wager outcome, you can reach out to the dispute resolution admin to look into the issue. Ensure that there is no violation of the wager rules and description. You are required to be available to settle a dispute within 24 hours after the dispute admin has been informed of the dispute. Unavailability within the 24 hours means you forfeit the dispute and the opponent is credited the funds or the outcome presented by your opponent stands unrevoked.
Dispute resolution is a process where both parties involved in a contested wager outcome present evidence to the admin for a final decision. Admins are professionals experienced in the category of the wager created.
This is where you can also find people to enter a wager with. When you create a wager, you can post it in the marketplace—this allows other Gowagr users to search for and find your wager, so they can decide if they want to join. You can also go through the marketplace to find wagers posted by other Gowagr users to join.
Wagers have no expiry; they last as long as the creators and counter decide, or as long as none of the players have claimed the prize. Gowagr is totally flexible and autonomous.
Creating and joining a wager is free. When a wager has been won, Gowagr charges a service fee of 5%, and an additional fee is attracted for dispute resolution.
Once the result is verified, funds are typically released as soon as possible. However, in the case of a dispute, this process may take longer. Transactions may experience slight delays depending on the banks and payment partners.
If your match gets disconnected, this doesn’t signal the end of the match. Reconnect as quickly as possible. However, the scoreline of the match will stand and will be used to complete the match. If you fail to return, the game state at disconnection will be used to judge the outcome.
When you submit an H2H dispute, the dispute resolution admin reviews the wager rules and description against any evidence provided by you to support your claims. Hence, the need for you to always keep proof of the outcome or happenings in the wager.
Yes, players should not use offensive, hateful, or explicit words. Players found in violation are subject to suspension depending on the severity of the infraction.
Players are expected to remain calm and present their case through the dispute resolution. Evidence should be submitted promptly, and decisions made by the platform's adjudicators should be respected.
